I received my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Kansas University Medical Center in 2010 and have been practicing physical therapy for 13 years in acute care & inpatient rehabilitation settings. I have a passion for serving survivors of stroke (and other neurological conditions), and helping them to recover function as well as return to activities most important to them.  I received certification in NDT (Neuro-developmental treatment) in individuals with stroke, which is a hands-on approach to promote more effective movement strategies, thereby improving function.  I also have completed continuing education & clinical practice in high-intensity gait training in order to provide stroke survivors with the latest evidenced-based interventions for better outcomes.   

As healthcare has changed over the years, I have noticed a gap in therapy services as patients transition from inpatient settings to home and community settings.  Sadly, I've watched patients plateau or decline in function often due to insurance limits on home health and outpatient visits.  I wanted to find a way to give patients the care that they deserve.  So, in 2022 Empower Stroke Recovery was established.

Is Empower Stroke Recovery is right for you?  We can have a discovery phone call or I can come meet you & your family at your home to discuss your personalized care options.

I will come to your home and perform an evaluation where we will assess your overall mobility, strength, and function. Then, I will create an individualized plan with you and your loved ones to help you reach your goals. 

Once you have completed your plan of care, I will provide you with a continuation plan to sustain your gains and promote ongoing wellness
